Our first year photographing this show in Los Angeles, which also runs during the year in several major cities across the US. Open to the public, the weekend show drew a large crowd of around 25,000 visitors. Travel vendors and destinations from across the globe were present, and the show floor had several stages with presentations on travel tips, local cuisine, and cultural presentations. One of the biggest draws was Rick Steves, who hosts a travel show broadcast on PBS, and gave a two hour talk on traveling abroad.

Three days with some of the top artists, past and present, in the animation industry. This is our second year photographing the event, held annually in Burbank, California. Large crowds were present at the seminars and trade show, and the event was sprinkled with book signings, live model drawing area, cocktail receptions, and drawing demostrations by top artists in the animation field. Disney Company and Pixar were in attendance  reviewing portfolios of  animators, as well as many other industry leaders. A conference highlight was the appearance of the legendary animator of Bambi, Disney Legend Tyrus Wong,who at 102 years old is still going strong. We are looking forward to being the official photographer at the 2013 event.

Jaime Camil is a Mexican actor, singer and host, best know for his role in the romantic comedy telenovela La fea más bella, which earned him a nomination for a Best Actor award in the Premios TVyNovelas. We were hired to video and photograph him with select guests, as part of a promotion for PinalenMax, a new cleaning product marketed to the Hispanic consumer. We produced prints on-site of Mr. Camil and guests, at two different locations, and on the same day. We also photographed a dinner cruise that evening with Mr. Camil, members of the press, and select guests. Both the promotional company who hired us, and the client, told us numerous times how happy they were with how we handled the photography and video. We even got a hug from our clients at the end of a very long day!

This was our first year photographing for The American Agents Alliance, at their 50th annual conference in Palm Desert, CA. Featuring a golf tournament, poker night, dance party,a well attended expo with a lively raffle, awards banquet, and celebrity look-alike entertainment gala. This was an interesting and varied event. We processed images onsite for a slide show presentation. They were so pleased with our work that on the last day of the event they asked us to be their photographer for next years annual event. Very rewarding to be so appreciated!

After photographing the IAAO 77th Annual Conference in Phoenix, we were very pleased to be asked  to be the official photographer at the International Association of Assessing Officers 78th Annual Conference in Kansas City. Held at the Kansas City Convention Center, we had outside events at the the Negro League Museum, the Jazz Museum, and the IAAO headquarters. Kansas City was great, with a lively downtown and great cultural activities.

While I was in Kansas City photographing the IAAO conference, our fantastic associate photographer Edyta was in Las Vegas photographing the Electronic Retailing Association’s 2012 Convention. Located at the fabulous Wynn Las Vegas hotel, the conference offered many learning sessions, networking opportunities, a trade expo, and a closing night gala and awards presentation.

AUVSI Unmanned Systems North America hosts the world’s largest robotics trade show and conference, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Unmanned air, sea, and land vehicles and technologies were represented, with live demonstrations on the trade show floor daily. Present were 8,000+ attendees, commercial and defense operators, CEOs, government and industry program managers, scientists, researchers and students. On the show floor were 500+ exhibitors spanning more than 500,000 gross sq.ft of exhibit space.

We were the official photographer for this annual recording industry event, covering four days of conferences and gatherings in May, and topped-off by a red carpet event on the last evening. This year the award honorees were Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Also in attendance was Brandy, DJ Cassady, Micky Dolenz, Lisa Marie Prestly, and other personalities in the recording biz.

This is the second year I’ve been invited to be the official show photographer, thank you Gary and staff! This a a great group of attendees and exhibitors, and they LOVE to have their photo taken. On Tuesday night the LVCVA and the Fremont Street Experience, along with the hotels and Flightlinez, really came together to throw a great party for us! We had VIP sections all along the streets, with food, drink and entertainment. Every hour they put on a light show, and at 9 pm they showed shots from our conference. If you look at the photo in the upper left, they were the photos I had shot from last year and this year. Very cool!

Waste Expo 2012 was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This was such a large expo that it took up the entire downstairs South Hall, plus the upstairs hall. The expo had lots and lots of trucks and large equipment, seminars, receptions, parking lot events, and trade show booth photography that kept me very busy.

February 2012 is the second year we photographed this trade show and conference, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It’s always very well attended, and the crowds were noticeably bigger this year. Lots of wireless gear and hardware  helps to make interesting photo opportunities, and the many high-end booths of major electronics manufacturers were always bustling.

Trade show photographers in Las Vegas, NV

Wow, this was some event. In case you’ve never attended or heard of this event, it’s the premier natural foods/ products event in the US. Talk about the crowds, well over 100,000 attended over the four days, and just try to find a parking space at the Anaheim Convention Center! We were hired to provide three days of photography and on-site printing inside one of the vendor’s booths at the trade show. Our client was Bob’s Red Mill, an established provider of stone-ground grains and natural cereal products. We photographed  the founder Bob Moore at a book signing in his booth, and printed 5×7″ photos on-location of Bob and guests.
Update, December 2012: We’ve just been asked to provide the same photography and on-site printing services in the Bob’s Red Mill Booth at Natural Products Expo West 2013.

I had the opportunity to be the official event photographer for a conference at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angles this month, which was dedicated to promoting green jobs. Speakers included LA Mayor Villaraigosa, and Teamsters President James P. Hoffa led a rally at a local Los Angeles recycling facility.
